Market America is a network marketing business that was started by JR and Loren Ridinger in 1992. Market America is a type of business called an “unfranchise” that uses (MML) multilevel marketing. Distributors build their businesses by selling products and recruiting more distributors.

The company sells jewelry, cleaning supplies, personal care products, auto care products, cosmetics, dietary supplements, custom websites, water purifiers, and products to help you lose weight.

How Does MARKET AMERICA Work?

Business means work, even in market America. Like most network marketing opportunities, Market America incorporated has a minimum monthly product purchase obligation, auto-ship, in place to qualify your business to accrue and receive a commission.

To receive your full commission, you need to purchase 200BV worth of the product. BV( Business Volume) is roughly 80% of every wholesale dollar you spend. Therefore, you can earn a commission on all retail products sold and also a commission for BV amassed by you and your team.

One of the strangest things about Market America is that you have to pay for your own training. You must take three required training courses within your first 30 days as a member:

In a recent federal lawsuit, Multilevel marketer Market America is accused of being an illegal pyramid scheme that targets Chinese immigrants by making them think they will get a chance to make money “unlike any seen in history before.”

Chuanjie Yang and Ollie Lan of California filed a lawsuit against a company in Greensboro, North Carolina, on May 30. The lawsuit says that the company broke the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and California state law. In addition, it says that the company targets Chinese-American immigrants because they “don’t have regularly available legal channels to defend their legal rights.”

The lawsuit also claims that Market America relies on its representatives to market its products to their Chinese friends and family, the world’s most populated nation. However, Yang and Lan both lost money on Market America.

Is MARKET AMERICA Legitimate?

It is a legitimate business opportunity with a solid compensation plan and unlimited products. But, as with any business, your results are based on your efforts and abilities in marketing your business. Market America Inc. is a legitimized company with fantastic products worldwide distribution and a fair compensation plan.

But that doesn’t mean the opportunity is right for you and your family. Notwithstanding what you will have heard from your potential sponsors or upline leader, building a profitable network marketing business requires introducing your produce, service, and a chance to consistently attract massive numbers of new people over an extended period.
