AWeber Features

One of the reasons for AWeber popularity is that it provides an extensive and more innovative range of features. You do not have to be an IT wizard to use them. Just a basic knowledge of computers & the tool and you will easily be able to leg up your competitors.

Let’s get into the details!

AWeber Email Templates

AWeber provides you with as many as 600 templates with 17 categories. In comparison to its rivals, it offers the most giant set of HTML e-newsletters.

However, the company claims to give 600 templates, but in my research, I have judged these 600 templates to be just different variants of 145 original templates.

To be fair, I personally do not like these AWeber templates email designs as they are a bit outdated. However, the giant volume of 600 templates means that with a bit of tweaking, you would be able to find an appropriate e-newsletter for you.

In addition, the company also offers you to code or create your own template too. You can use the “smart designer” tool option if you do not want to use AWeber-provided templates. You can use it by giving AWeber a URL, and it will come up with a template that might work for your brand.

Responsive Email Design

All the designs in templates are responsive. It means they automatically adjust themselves to the screen size they are being watched on. So, for example, if you open the email on a mobile or tablet, the fonts will resize and adjust to the screen.

What’s more, AWeber also allows you to check your email previewing the mobile version. To me, it seems to be a fun feature!

Email Editor in AWeber:

The software has 3 types of email editors:

  • Plain Text Editor

You can use this editor when you want to create emails containing simple text only.

  • HTML Editor

This editor allows you to edit the HTML code. However, email marketing generally does not need HTML code editing.

  • Drag and Drop Editor

This is AWeber’s most commonly used option that people prefer to customize their email templates. In this type, you can click on the content blocks and drag them into emails to create flexible layouts.

The Use of Web Fonts in AWeber Email Templates:

Luckily, AWeber allows you to add web fonts to your templates. Using web fonts in emails makes them more attractive and appealing. Moreover, it also increases the appearance to a considerable level.

Along with 8 standard safe fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial, etc., AWeber allows you to use the following 11 web fonts:

  1. Lato
  2. Lora
  3. Arvo
  4. Merriweather Sans
  5. Merriweather
  6. Open Sans
  7. Noticia Text
  8. Roboto
  9. Permanent Marker
  10. Playfair Display
  11. Source Sans Pro

AWeber Data Management

Importing the subscribers’ data is pretty simple in AWeber. You can choose to upload any of the following file types:

  • TXT
  • TSV
  • XLS
  • CSV
  • XLSX

You can either add individual subscribers’ data manually or copy past subscribers’ rows into AWeber. You will be asked a few questions about how you gathered this data for anti-spam reasons. If you are trying to import the data of up to 10,000 subscribers, AWeber anti-spam compliance team will almost take a whole working day to review the data. However, you will undoubtedly like AWeber’s way of importing data.

AWeber Autoresponder Features

AWeber claims to be the pioneer in autoresponder function. The company launched this function in 1998, and many others followed its footsteps. In this AWeber automated response, the software will send a message if someone subscribes to your list.

AWeber has 17 ready-made templates that you can program to autoresponder a welcome email whenever a new subscriber joins your business. Furthermore, the program will automatically send a discount code for your product after one week.

And then, three weeks later, it will send an email encouraging your new subscriber to follow you on social media and much more!

AWeber Integration with Canva

In this feature, Aweber allows you to edit and enhance your image graphic designing with Canva. Although it provides you with 6,500 pictures, if you want to do some creativity with the design, you can integrate it with Canva.

Furthermore, a button in the email editor can take you directly to Canva. You can create designs of your own choice by using dozens of illustrations, filters, icons, and effects.

There is also a drag-and-drop option that can help you put images or texts anywhere within your designs. After creating your layout, you can simply save it in AWeber by clicking the “Save to AWeber” button.

AWeber A/B Testing

It is also called Split Testing. This feature involves sending different variants of your emails to some members of your subscribers’ lists. It puts your email efficiency to the test by surveying the performance.

And then finally, you can send the best version of your tested email variant to the remaining members of the mailing list.

AWeber allows you to use and send 3 different variants of e-newsletter while split testing. In each variant, you easily monitor its performance. With this advanced option, you can quickly get an idea about the deliverability and effectiveness of your emails.
