What is Rodan + Fields MLM?

Rodan + Fields is an American MLM-based company that earns in direct selling. As a company, it has specialized in skincare and anti-aging products. The company claims to have effective cosmetics that can help you resolve all your skin problems, such as acne and freckles. 

Two dermatologist friends, Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, laid its foundation in 2007. However, before that, back in 1995, the two dermatologists created a San Francisco-based MLM company which was not a success for them. Then, they came up with the idea of an active solution to people’s acne problems and launched their cosmetic brand in 2002.

In 2003, a cosmetic giant named Estee Lauder acquired the brand for its potential capacity. But in her hand, the company could not make it big. So in the year 2007, Rodan + Fields bought their company back and adorned it with an MLM structure. Now it has managed to be among the top leading makeup companies. 

They have written on their official website that they operate with more than 300,000 registered independent agents and have an active clients range of more than 2 million people. Their clients extensively use their products in Japan, Australia, the United States, and Canada. The headquarter of Rodan + Fields is located in California, USA.

Are Rodan + Fields Products Worth Their Price?

If you are really determined to join Rodan + Fields MLM, you need to get a clear idea of where you are getting into. Being its member, you will not only recruit people but also sell its products, and putting your strength into selling a worthless product will make you a person as dull as a dishwasher.

As far as Rodan + Fields’ products are concerned, it provides its customers with a vast range of cosmetics. For instance, the product lines include:

• Spotless: Clearing treatment, acne treatment, etc.( it costs $34-$297)
• Unblemsh: Skin toner, acne treatment, etc. (it costs $30-$320)
• Soothe: Gentle cream wash, replenishing cream (it costs $42-$311)
• Redefine: Toner, cleansing mask, eye cream. (it costs $20-$384)
• Recharge: Sunscreen, mask cleanser, etc. (It costs ($40-$342)
• Reverse: Exfoliation, sunscreen, toner, etc. (It costs $42-376)
• Essentials: Moisturizer,  Vitamin D supplements, sunscreen, etc. (It costs $19-$32)

Reviews about Rodan + Fields products are mixed on the internet. But most of the conversations on the internet are good. People say that the products such as lotions and moisturizers do wonders on the skin. But we know that skin creams work differently on different skin types. On the other side, there are many who growl about the destructive effects of products. However, the good comments outranked the bad ones in many ways because people say that they have felt their skin to be:

• Smoother
• Refreshing
• More hydrated
• Healthy looking and
• Plumper

Rodan + Fields MLM Opportunity:

As an MLM systematic company, it does provide you with the opportunity to make a living. But before you sweep away with the idea of making money from marketing, let me warn you that you can make money here, but this MLM company, like all the others, won’t make you rich. So you will have to work as hard as a bee just to remain hands to mouth.

Rodan + Fields MLM sells skincare products, but to your surprise, they do not advertise these products. Instead, they save their advertisement costs and distribute it in the form of “commission”  among the agents who market their products. That is how they kill two birds with one stone.

Anyhow, typically, like all the MLMs, it provides 2 ways to generate income.

• Buy the company products and sell them for commission.
• Add people to your downline and earn bonuses by building a team.

How Much Does It Cost to Join Rodan + Fields MLM?

The company offers 2 methods you can choose for joining it:

• Preferred Customer:

There is a one-time startup fee to become a preferred customer, and that is $19.95. However, after becoming a PC (Preferred Customer), you will get a 10% discount on every product you buy. Furthermore, you will also get free delivery if the cart prices exceed $80.

• Independent Consultant:

To register yourself as an IC (Independent Consultant), you will have to buy a business starter pack pricing $75. This starter pack may include the following:

• Getting started guide
• Product Guide
• Share R+F flyers
• Samples
• A gift for you from the company

Can You Make Money with Rodan + Fields MLM?

Yes, you can. There are clearly some who have made money and succeeded. Nonetheless, it requires an aptitude. If you have a personality for marketing and patience with continuous rejection, you can try your luck in MLM with only a 1% of success possibility.

Here is the compensation plan the company offers for its independent consultant:

Retail Profit:

As an IC, you can earn Retail Proft by selling the company’s products. In addition, you can sell the product to customers that you meet online or in person. You can earn 33% commission from selling the product and 16% commission if the customer agrees to receive the product in monthly supply.

Consultant Commission:

In order to get this commission, the IC will need to sell as many products until he makes 100 QV (Qualifying Volume). Moreover, you can earn a 10% commission on the purchase your L1 (Level 1 referrals) customer or consultant makes.

Performance Bonus:

Rodan + Fields MLM gives this bonus to the one who performs well as an IC. This incentive may range from a cash prize to a car as a reward.

Team Commission:

The eligibility criteria for team commission is to first qualify as an Executive Consultant. And then, your team must be able to generate almost 600 PSQV (Personally Sponsered Qualifying Volume). As an EC (Executive Consultant), you will get a 5% commission as a team commission.

Generation Commission:

Generation commission you get when you help people in your downline to achieve Executive Consultant Rank. So,  when 8 persons from your downline reach the EC rank, the consultant level 5 will look at the EC rank. And that is how you will be able to get 5% commission from generations of their downline at level 5.

Pros:

Credible Background:

As mentioned earlier, the company was created in 2002. Since then, it has proven its good background. Usually, a multi-level marketing company vanishes after a couple of years of its arrival. But the 20-year-long history of Rodan + Fields clarifies that it has come into being to stay!

Positive Image:

It is needless to say that Rodan + Fields has succeeded in building a good company image. The company has revolutionized skincare with its scientifically backed products by curing a common yet grim skin acne problem.

Low Sign-up Cost:

If we compare the sign-up charges of this company with others, we will undoubtedly admit that the start-up charges are meager. However, the company is taking $75 as its start-up charges, and in return, they are giving you valuable items.

Cons:

Expensive Products:

Like many MLMs, Rodan + Fields also sells expensive products. No doubt, the products company makes are good in quality, but the high cost puts them beyond the reach of a layman. These premium products can only be bought by premium customers.

Final Thoughts: Rodan + Fields MLM Review

I will not recommend joining Rodan + Fields because progress in marketing-based companies is as slow as a tortoise. And statistically, of those who join an MLM, 50% lose their heart in the 1 year, 90% say farewell before 5 years, and 95% leave it for good within 10 years. So do not give your luck a tough time with a 1% of success possibility, will you?
